On-Page optimization is a part of SEO, SEO means Search Engine Optimization, that is, optimizing your website or blog for a better Search Engine Result Page(SERP). This optimization also happens in 2 ways which are.
In this post we will talk about how to optimize on-page SEO.
When it comes to On-Page SEO, till now you must have read what On-Page SEO is, But in this article you will know practically how to do perfect optimization of On-Page SEO for search engines.
On-Page SEO: Whatever we implement in our content or article while creating content or article like Title, Heading, Permalink, Media, Design etc., optimizing them properly is called On-Page Search Engine Optimization.
After knowing what On-Page SEO is, it becomes important for us to know how to do it for better SERP (Search Engine Page Result).
Without practically understanding On-Page SEO, you cannot apply it to your blog content, and if you do not do On-Page SEO of your post properly then you cannot get better SERP.
Always make the permalink short and include the keywords. Ignore URLs that look useless like:
everythingfreeonline.com/p=123
Along with this, do not keep the URL too big like:
everythingfreeonline.com/on-page-seo-your-page-need-to-have-seo-perfectly-optimize
But why is it so?
This is because Google always gives more value to the first 3-5 words in the permalink of the post. Which means that we should place the targeted keyword in our URL.
If there are keywords in your permalink then Google shows them in bold, which is more eye catching due to which there would be increase in CTR of your blog.
CTR: Click Through Rate, 10 results are shown on the fist page of Google, suppose your site is shown to 100 users searching on the first page of Google, then suppose 20 of them opened only your site and the remaining 80 users opened the remaining 9 blogs or websites, then your CTR will be 20%.
If you place only the main keyword in your permalink URL and keep the URL short, it will look different and shorter.
You should place the targeted keyword (the keyword with which you want your post to rank) in the title of your post, and this is also good because this is the most important On-Page SEO factor in Google.
But, Along with this, you should also keep in mind that you should keep your main keyword at the beginning of the title.
optmize On Page SEO Title
It is possible that you are not able to start the title of your posts directly with your targeted keyword or it is not making any sense, then also try not to keep your targeted keyword at the end of the title.
It is not enough to create content with just text, efforts should be made to include videos and images in that content as well.
The user who comes to your blog to watch videos and images will stay for some more time. Due to which the bounce rate will decrease and the time on your website page will increase.
Bounce Rate: When a user closes the blog after visiting the blog without going to another page, and when they don't stay long on your site.
Time on Page: How long the visitor is staying on your site.
The question is how good is Multimedia for SEO, right?
If you add attractive videos and images to your content, this will reduce the bounce rate of your blog , which means the chances of users closing your site quickly will be reduced which is good for Google SEO. Also, the Time on Page will increase due to which users will stay on your site for a longer time, which is also good for Google SEO.
Overall, Google also monitors user behaviour, how long a user stays on your site and how many users are closing your site without reading further.
If a visitor comes to your content by searching on Google and leaves that content as soon as the page loads, then this will have a negative effect on your search engine ranking, so we should try to keep the visitors on our site.
The targeted keyword should be in the first 100-150 words of your article or content. That is, your keyword should be in the first paragraph of your content.
By using the keyword in the first 100 words, Google understands what your page is about.
Google also records the loading speed of your blog. This means that the speed of opening your blog should be fast.
To reduce this, you can compress high definition images on your blog, and if you have kept your blog on self-host then use fast speed hosting. If you use Google Blogger (Blogspot) then you do not need to look for hosting power because in Blogger platform your site is hosted on Google's server. Try to ensure that your site opens in at least 4 seconds.
Research shows that 75% of users will not visit your site again if your site takes more than 4 seconds to open.
You can check the loading speed of your site by using GTMetrix.Com.
Modifiers like “Best”, “Top”, “Famous”, “Guide”, “Complete Guide”, “Review”, “Helpful” etc. can be added to your title to make it even more attractive.
Like you have to write a content whose theme is “WordPress Tools”, So we can add it to the title like this:
By doing this, if you share the link of your content on Facebook , Twitter, then your chances of getting clicks from there will be high.
And with the site being displayed on Google, there is a high chance that users will see the title of your blog content and then first open your blog content, before going to other blogs.
What is the chance that after reading your content, readers might share your content on their social profiles?
Chances are very high that when you use the social share button then users will share your content.
If you do not add Social Share Button, then your blog will have very few readers who copy the URL from the address bar and share it by pasting it on their social profile.
That means it is very important to use the social share button if you want to make your content viral on social sites.
If you use Google Blogger platform, then your template may have the Social Share Button option, if not, then you can add a separate social share button, WordPress users can simply install the Digg Digg plugin.
Research has shown that the longer your content, the higher the chances of it ranking on Google’s first page.
If you want high ranking of your content, and the topic of that content is also very high in competition then you should try to write the post in at least 2000 words and if you write in more words than that then it is even better.
And a rule should be made that every content should be written in at least more than 1000 words.
The longer the content, the more Long Tail Keywords you can use in it. That means the longer the better it will be for SEO.
Internal links means that you should also add the link of the old published post in your new content. But in that new content, add internal links of the same content which is related to it.
If you want to see a good example of this then it is Wikipedia, on an average you will find 50+ internal links on every post on Wikipedia.
on page internal link seo
My suggestion in this regard would be to link at least 2-5 old content to the new content. This will also reduce the bounce rate of your blog because you are not providing the same content to the user, but also pushing other content along with it so that visitors will stay on your blog for a longer period of time.
Do you use H2 and H3 to give subheadings in your content? If you are not, then begin to use it because firstly it makes your content more user friendly and secondly by placing keywords in it, it will make the on-page SEO optimization even stronger.

You also have to keep in mind that your keyword should not exceed a limit, otherwise that is also called keyword stuffing, which is not good for you.
Whatever image you add to your content, give the same name to that image which is your target keyword. (for example: on-page-SEO.jpg)
on-page-img-file-name
Do not name the images like this:
12142015.jpg
1207pm.jpg
The second step of image optimization is to add ALT tag.
If you use Google Blogger platform, there is an option to add ALT Tag to the image in its post editor. Place your target keyword in the ALT Tag as well.
For example, if your target keyword is “On-Page SEO Optimization”, then add ALT name, add it like this.
on-page-alt-tag-title-box
If you are a WordPress platform user, there is an option to add ALT tag to the image in its post editor as well. For this, just click on the edit button on the border of the image.
For example, if your target keyword is “On-Page SEO Optimization”, then add ALT name, add it like this.
Another reason for doing image optimization is that it is easy for Google to know what your content is about. Which will help you in getting search traffic.
For example, if there are 2 images in your content on which you have added alt tag, one on “make-money-online” and the other on “make-money-offline”, then Google will understand that your content is on the topic of Making Money.
Whenever our post is published on the search engine or when we share it on social media, what is visible is its title, permalink, its description and the thumbnail of the post. After seeing these the user clicks on them.
I hope this content has explained On-Page Optimization to you well, please give your feedback by commenting or if you have any question then please do ask in the comment section.
And please don't forget to share to others so they can benefit fron this great and wonderful article, thank you.
